CONDITIONS were superb for the Broadway Golf Club ladies’ Stableford which was won overall by Ange Sollis with an excellent 33 points.
The 16-hole event began in cold weather but fairways and greens played beautifully for the time of year.
Debbie Donoghue achieved a worthy first place in Division One with 32 points ahead of Pat Righton who took second with 29.
In Division Two, Louise Folkes clinched top spot with 31 points, leaving Esther Pettitt a close second with 30.
Currently lying under a blanket of very thick snow, it is difficult to recall the many competitions and matches played during 2017, but suffice to say it has been a fabulous year of golf at Broadway with many accomplishments to report during the season.
Notably, club champions Jamie Andrew (men), Vicky Watkins (ladies) and Scott Davis (juniors) were among many others from every section of the club to achieve tremendous standards of play, all helped by an exceptional course which continues to provide superb conditions for play.
Members now look forward to 2018 when they can continue to build upon those successes and enjoy being part of such an outstanding club.
