EVESHAM United end the Southern League Division One South season with a trip to north Devon to face Bideford on Saturday having seen their slim play-off hopes ended over the Easter weekend.
The Robins, who will end the campaign in seventh place, were comprehensively beaten 3-0 at Blackfield & Langley on Saturday – a result which clinched the title for the Hampshire side.
Paul Collicutt’s side were outplayed in the first half by a home side who have secured successive league title wins and found themselves 3-0 down at the break after goals from Tom Bearwish, Liam Robinson and a Fatah Makhloufi penalty.
Evesham were much-improved in the second half and the margin of victory flattered the hosts, for whom Lerone Plummer converted from close range to complete the scoring ten minutes into the half.
