EVESHAM United ended their Southern League Division One South & West campaign with a frustrating 1-1 draw at home to bottom club Guildford City on Saturday.
Boosted by members of the junior section and families, the crowd of 280 was the second highest of the season at the Jubilee Stadium.
The home side took the lead on 16 minutes when a good run by Lance Smith saw him unselfishly pass to Nathan Jackson who slotted home from close range.
More opportunities were missed, with Jared Wilson having the best chance on the half hour.
Early in the second half Jackson was unfortunate to receive a second yellow and was sent off and this gave Guildford hope and they equalised on 74 minutes through Nuno Pereia.
The Robins finished in 16th place on 47 points.
Attentions now turn to Tuesday’s (7.45pm) Worcestershire Senior Cup final against Southern League Premier Division outfit Redditch United at Kidderminster Harriers’ Aggborough Stadium.
