EVESHAM began the Midlands Two West (South) campaign in blistering fashion with an 85-17 demolition of Southam at the Avonside ground.
In perfect conditions perfect for running rugby, Evesham were in scintillating form as full-back Will Bugg stood out in particular, cashing in with an impressive six-try haul.
Southam were actually first to score with an unconverted try before Josh Perry opened Evesham’s account, followed by scores for Andy Robinson, Scott Fairfax, Dave Barber and a hat-trick for Bugg before the break.
Mike Diston converted five of the first half tries for a 45-5 lead at the break.
Southam rallied briefly early in the second half as they scored twice, but Evesham were relentless in attack with some impressive play all over the pitch.
Josh Sands bagged a brace of tries, with a second for Perry and a second hat-trick for Bugg. Diston slotted another five conversions to complete the scoring.
Evesham are next in action on Saturday, September 28 with a visit to Spartans (Midlands).
