IAN WOOD has been named Evesham Golf Club seniors section Golfer of the Year.
The trophy is presented to the player who accumulates most points during the year for entering events and competitions, with extra points awarded for doing well.
The accolade itself is a lovely silver bowl presented to the section by Steve Deakin and therefore known as the Deakin Trophy and outgoing section captain Wood was a fitting winner.
