REEGAN Messenger scored a second-half brace as Evesham United came from behind to win 3-2 against 10-man Helston Athletic.
Substitute Messenger twice put Evesham ahead in the second period after Toby Raison opened the scoring at the Spiers and Hartwell Stadium.
And the result means Evesham sit fourth in the Southern League Division One South table.
The Robins broke the deadlock on 29 minutes when Raison lashed a loose ball into the net on the half-volley via the aid of a deflection.
However, the visitors drew level two minutes later as Jacob Smith looped a header over Evesham goalkeeper Alex Harris.
And the home side reclaimed the lead on 56 minutes when Messenger headed in Joshua Barlow’s corner from the left from close range three minutes after his introduction.
Helston equalised for a second time on 72 minutes as Jack Crago produced a cool finish past Harris when one-on-one.
However, Messenger restored United’s lead six minutes later when he controlled Aaron Heap’s cross before firing a low volley into the bottom left corner from 12-yards out.
The visitors had captain Aaron Bentley sent off late after he picked up a second yellow card for a rash challenge on Robins substitute Amer Awadh.
Evesham are next in action against Yate Town on Saturday, November 23 with kick-off at 3pm at Lodge Road.
