THERE was a unusual feel to this year’s Evesham Golf Club ladies’ captains drive-in as four members are sharing the role – each taking the helm for a three-month period.
It may be this becomes the way forward as more and more ladies have other commitments, but time will tell.
A Bogey competition was then played in pleasant weather considering the recent snow. The course was playing well and signs of spring were seen with daffodils blooming despite being smothered by snow.
The winner was Ruth Masters with plus two, followed by her playing partner Melanie Evans with plus one.
The afternoon continued with birthday celebrations for one of the lovely lady members – Jackie Edmunds – as a birthday cake and glass of wine was enjoyed in her honour.
