THERE was more glory for the Evesham girls’ rugby team as they triumphed at the Kenilworth Festival on the back of their West Midlands Girls’ Tag Rugby League title-winning success.
Eight teams from across the Midlands took part in the girls’ Sevens tag competition at Kenilworth and Evesham proved too powerful for all of them.
In their three pool games the Vale girls ran in 26 tries whilst conceding only five, before defeating Berkswell & Balsall Common 6-2 in the final to win the event for the second year in succession.
Evesham girls end the season on May 15 at the Help for Heroes tournament.
