EVESHAM secured their first win in five Midlands Two West (South) matches with a 31-12 victory at lowly Old Coventrians on Saturday.
The platform for success was laid in the first 15 minutes when the Vale side scored three tries through Dom Berry, Zak Shotton and Pete Carr and the visitors led 19-7 at the break.
Old Coventrians had much of the territory in the second half but Evesham scored twice on the counter-attack through Liam Berry and Will Bugg.
Andy Robinson converted three of Evesham’s five tries.
Evesham, now up to eighth and ten points above the bottom two, host fourth-placed Old Laurentians on Saturday (2.15pm).
