EVESHAM exited the Midlands Intermediate Cup at the first round stage as they were beaten 53-19 at Wolverhampton on Saturday.
The visitors started brightly and were first to score with a try for captain Andy Robinson, converted by Mike Diston.
However, the lead was shortlived as the home side returned the favour within two minutes and ran in four more tries before the break to lead 33-7.
Evesham had a brief period of control in the second half when they scored twice through Will Bugg and Wilf Watson, with Diston converting one, but Wolverhampton were too strong on the day and notched four further tries to cap a comprehensive victory.
Evesham begin their Midlands Two West (South) campaign on Saturday with a home game against Southam who were close rivals last season.
