Dobie wins long-running Spencer Plate knockout

Evesham Editorial 24th Sep, 2019 Updated: 24th Sep, 2019   0

THE ANNUAL Spencer Plate knockout came to a conclusion after five months of competition at Evesham Golf Club with former seniors captain Bill Dobie emerging triumphant.

Paul Buckley produced a very creditable performance to finish second.

Evesham seniors competed for the Michael Morris Foursomes Trophy and the pairing of Mike Brumage and Mark Adams won with a Stableford total of 37.

Although the season is drawing to a close, there has been no let-up in the battle for senior honours and the Ralph Burton Knockout Trophy was won by Tim Swift and the Autumn Cup won by Geoff Wellens.
