Earlsdon 11 Evesham 7
Midlands Two West (South)
EVESHAM were edged out in a low-scoring match on Saturday as the hosts completed a gritty second half comeback.
The Avonsiders led 7-0 at the break but were unable to bag a third win of the league season and remain sixth ahead of Saturday’s home game against Stratford.
The visitors enjoyed the lion’s share of possession and territory in the first half, but only managed to score once before the break as Will Bugg crossed the line and Mike Diston added the extras for a 7-0 lead at half-time.
The momentum shifted dramatically in the second period in which Earlsdon were every bit as dominant as Evesham were in the first.
The hosts scored two penalties and an unconverted try to claim the spoils, leaving Evesham with just a losing bonus point for their efforts.
