Vale youngsters discover new primary school places

EDUCATION chiefs have revealed 98 per cent of the the county’s newest primary school pupils have received an offer from one of their top choices.

Nine out of 10 children will be starting at their first choice of primary school and middle school this September.

This year in Worcestershire, the County Council received 6,088 primary school applications, and 2,638 middle school applications.

Everyone who made an application for a primary school or middle school place has received an offer..




Sarah Wilkins, director of Education and Early Help at Worcestershire Children First, said: “We aim to make the milestone moment of starting school as smooth as possible for parents and students across the county. It is fantastic that so many of Worcestershire’s children will be starting primary school in one of their preferred schools in September.”

School place offers are available to view online and an e-mail will be sent to all who applied.
