A MAJOR Evesham charity effort to benefit those less fortunate has once again hit the target.
Despite the Coronavirus pandemic, a team of volunteers from the Teams4u warehouse in Davies Road loaded a lorry full of gift filled shoeboxes heading off to western Romania.
In a difficult year the team have collected and processed more than 19,000 shoeboxes, working in a Covid-safe way in the warehouse and loading the lorries.
Paul Jeanes from Teams4u said: “A real thank you to all the schools, church groups, surrounding villages and individuals who despite restrictions have continued to support the shoebox appeal again this year.
A further trip will be made to Moldova in the coming weeks with another full load of shoeboxes, fund-raising chiefs have confirmed.
