RUNNERS from across the Vale laced up their running shoes for the eighth annual Evesham Vale 10km race.

Sponsored by Run Stuff, the event was organised by Evesham Vale Running Club and again saw hundreds of runners young and old put their best foot forward.

The Run Stuff team made up of employees, customers, friends and members of the Evesham

Beginners Running Club met at the event marquee to prepare for the race.

Sam Miles, who works at Run Stuff ran the event for the first time and clocked an impressive time of 49 minutes five seconds to finish seventh in his age group.

Lou Bugg, Run Stuff owner, ran a course personal best of 55 minutes 47 seconds pushed along by Rachel Houghton and Mandy Bell from Evesham Beginners Running Club.

Octavia Walters from Vale Sports Massage provided well deserved leg massages to Run Stuff runners returning to the event marquee for post race refreshments.

Evesham Beginners Running Club is based at the new Health Hub in Evesham town centre and has already helped more than 80 local people start running with many going on to take part in 5k, 10k, half and full marathons raising lots of money for local and national good causes.
