Using web to host open days

Rob George 28th Mar, 2020

A LEADING college group in Warwickshire and Worcestershire is harnessing the power of technology to ensure its open days still go ahead despite the coronavirus.

WCG (formally Warwickshire College Group) cancelled the events in light of government advice regarding large public gatherings – but instead will be holding virtual open events so prospective students can access information about its seven colleges and courses remotely.

The virtual open events will run until Thursday (April 2), WCG will be hosting a brief Facebook Live and Instagram Live followed by a Q&A session via Facebook Messenger, Instagram and Twitter.

Prospective students can find out more about courses at Evesham College on Wednesday (April 1) from 5.30pm to 6.30pm and the following day for Pershore College from 5.30pm to 7pm.
