HEALTH bosses have revealed the number of deaths for patients who tested positive for Covid-19 has reached 761, up from 678 at the start of the month.
Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, which runs the Worcestershire Royal and Redditch’s Alexandra Hospital, revealed the latest figure today (Friday) at the end of another month which has seen the trust’s doctors and nurses battle the pandemic.
The figure means 83 patients have died in February to date following a positive Covid test. The county’s death toll has now passed 750 since the trust began Covid patients almost 12 months ago.
“Our thoughts and condolences are with the families and friends of those patients at this very difficult and distressing time,” a trust spokesman said.
