TRAVELLERS who have set up camp on an Evesham car park have been given until tomorrow afternoon (Thursday) to move on.

The caravans and vehicles were spotted on the Wychavon District Council owned Burford Road Car Park yesterday (Tuesday).

Council chiefs have now issued the travellers with a notice- meaning they will have to leave the site by 4pm tomorrow (Thursday) otherwise Wychavon will seek a court injunction.

Vic Allison, Deputy Managing Director for Wychavon, said: “We are aware of the Travellers who have been in the Burford Road car park since Tuesday afternoon.

“As soon as we were made aware we visited them and took down details.

“We have issued a notice that requires them to leave by 4pm on Thursday and if they fail to leave we will seek a court injunction.”
