Town residents will fall silent to remember the fallen

EVESHAM and Pershore residents will be falling silent to pay their respects to soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the coming days.

Remembrance services will be taking place on Remembrance Sunday (November 8) and on Armistice Day itself (November 11).

Royal British Legion members along with member of Evesham Town Council will assemble in Market Square at 10.15am on Sunday with the parade getting underway from 10.50am.

The parade, led by the Avonbank Band, will pass through Market Square, through Bridge Street and to the War Memorial via Abbey Park.




At 11am the two minutes silence will be observed and wreaths will be placed before a service of Remembrance at All Saints Church.

Pershore’s Remembrance Sunday parade of veterans and cadet will march from Pershore Leisure Centre to the town’s Abbey at 10.10am.


A service of Remembrance will take place from 10.40am while on Tuesday (November 10) Pershore High School will be holding its annual rededication of its Roll of Honour.
