Tory group for young people reforms after three year absence

YOUNG people interested in politics are being invited to join the relaunched Mid Worcestershire Conservative Future branch.

The group, which is part of the youth wing of the Conservative Party, relaunched last month three years after it was dissolved.

The group will be holding events throughout the year, including pints and policy discussion, meetings with Nigel Huddleston MP and even bowling.

Coun Matt Snape said: “I am delighted Mid Worcestershire CF is up and running.

“It is encouraging to see so many young people get involved in the party again and it’s important CF has a strong presence among young people, especially when you consider the fact Labour performed so well on social media during the last election. We need to combat that.

“But the idea behind MWCF is not just to use young people as election fodder, but to provide like-minded people with regular events that are not just political and to share ideas.”

Anyone aged between 16 and 30 can join and for more information visit www.conservatives.com.
