Something to Think About

Evesham Editorial 31st Jan, 2022   0

LOOKING back over the archives of this column, it is amazing to see how many different themes there has been over the years.

A few weeks ago I mentioned that the column has endeavoured to avoid controversial issues which can therefore limit the choice of a weekly theme.

In the media today, I read of a dog which had become deaf because of an ear infection and was now learning to read and understand sign language.

It always amazes me to read and hear of the different ways that dogs can help and encourage us humans by the way in which they support us through illnesses or disabilities.

Dogs can often go where humans cannot because of the dangers and the terrain of the situation that they face.

We do not read of many dogs in the Bible but I believe that God has given us these canine creatures in order to support, encourage and bring pleasure into our lives.

But of course the greatest gift that we have from God, is His Son Jesus Christ who came to earth to show us the Love, Joy and Peace that we can receive from God His Father.

If we have a dog let us thank God for him/her and let us treat it with all the love we can.
