OVER the past two or three weeks we have had a couple of Sea or Land Gulls flying over our garden.
When they are in flight, I consider them to be so magnificent soaring and flying so gracefully, but when they are on the ground, I see them as ugly and unattractive.
Some years ago, I read a story about a Sea Gull whose lifelong aim was to fly higher and higher each day and he eventually achieved his ambition and reached a tremendous height.
Life can be sometimes like that as we endeavour to attain goals in order to better ourselves and our families.
Jesus Christ met so many people during his earthly ministry who were striving for a better life, but in their own strength they failed to achieve their goals.
But when Jesus met them, and they allowed him into their lives everything took on a whole new meaning and purpose.
Whatever our situation we can find that by letting the Lord Jesus into our lives as Saviour, life can take on a new meaning and benefit not only ourselves but all those around us
