Something to Think About

Evesham Editorial 25th Apr, 2021   0

LAST Monday I visited a place that I had not been able to go to for over twelve months as I seemed to miss out on gaining available appointments every time the lockdown was relaxed.

I had a much-needed haircut!

I certainly looked a different person when I came out of the salon.

Over the past months of lockdown, it has often been almost impossible to recognise people, even those we know well, because they were wearing a mask and their hairstyles were so different.

As my wife and I no longer live in the county of our birth, we often wonder what our school friends look like now and would we still be able to recognise them.

We are living in a world of change when it can be hard to remember what things were like even five or ten years ago.

When Jesus Christ rose from the dead, his disciples were overjoyed because they immediately recognised him, even though he now had a resurrection body ready for his ascension to heaven.

For those forty days, from his resurrection to his ascension, it must have been so exciting for those men and women as Jesus shared with them of what God his Father is like and how much He loves them.

That same love is here for us today as we open our lives to God through Jesus Christ the Saviour.
