Something to Think About

Evesham Editorial 3rd May, 2020   0

I WONDER if wild animals, birds, our native animals and pets have any concept of what is happening around them, I was thinking to myself recently.

All the entertainment venues including zoos have been in ‘Lockdown’ meaning no longer the excited shouts of children, “Look there’s a Lion or Zebra or an Elephant”, can be heard.

It has been said that our pets are being affected because their lifestyle is being altered to fit in with our “Lockdown’ activities.

Many of us may not have left our homes for the duration of the ‘Lockdown’ and therefore feel isolated and alone but there is someone who we can talk to at any time of the day or night.

In the Bible we read of prayer being made to God by all kinds of people. Even Jesus needed to pray to his Father God as he faced many situations where there was danger and difficulties.

Just before he faced the agony of the death on the cross, he prayed for his disciples that they would be kept strong and loyal.

At the same time he prayed for people like us in our day and age and for the circumstances in which we find ourselves now.

Whatever our situation let us lift up a prayer to God at this unusual time.

Keep well. Keep safe.
