Something to Think About

Evesham Editorial 29th Mar, 2020   0

AS I WRITE this the weather is beautiful with warm sunshine and colourful butterflies flying around the garden, quite idyllic.

But in reality it is eerily quiet because of the ‘lockdown’ which is affecting the majority of the neighbourhood.

Not for more than 100 years has the world experienced such a pandemic as we are seeing today.

Never have we seen such a closing of non-food stores, pubs, churches and entertainment venues as we are now because of Covid-19 which is devastating the whole world.

In the midst of all this we hear and read of people of all ages, worldwide, who are going out of their way in order to help the needy and less able to continue with their lives.

We are reminded that life also carries on with thanks and gratitude to our NHS and all Care workers

The Bible talks a lot about ‘Comfort’ and Paul the Apostle writes, The Lord Jesus Christ who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort others in their time of trouble.

As we face an uncertain few weeks, let us accept the comfort, which comes from God through the Lord Jesus Christ, and encourage others to find that comfort as well.

Please keep safe
