IT WOULD seem in this day and age of social media we have to be very careful what we say or do for the sake of political correctness.
During my lifetime I have been criticised many times and I have learnt to accept only that which is constructive criticism, which I use to my advantage.
Present day news is full of stories and accounts which have been highlighted concerning prominent and famous people who cannot accept criticism when they have made mistakes.
Writing this column each week, I always ask my wife to proof read it before it is sent to the editor, that way we are able to ‘fine tune’ it ready for publication. Her criticism and comments are always acceptable.
When Jesus Christ was here on earth, he said and did many things that went against the grain of the mind set of the religious people, who constantly criticised him and sought to get rid of him.
But what he did and said was to bring people to know the love, joy and peace, which come from his Father, God.
Church today is considered to be out dated and not relevant for our modern age but the truths of the Bible are just as important now as they were when Jesus spoke them all those years ago
