Something to Think About

Evesham Editorial 19th Jan, 2020   0

“ARE you sure you have all the cables correctly connected?”

I knew the cables were all correctly joined up but there was still no response from the remote control to the new sound bar I had fitted up to the television.

At last I had been able to talk my wife into us buying a sound bar so we had better and more audible reproduction from the TV.

I had checked everything including the remote control battery was fully charged.

Not wanting to disconnect the new system, I returned to the store with the remote control and was told each complete unit was compatible for each item in the package. But, the store supplied me with another remote control to try and on returning home it worked perfectly.

Life can sometimes seem rather incompatible to us but so often it can be just one part which is somewhat disjointed.

In his earthly ministry, Jesus Christ met many people who were living disjointed lives, not knowing which way to turn.

Jesus met them at their point of need and they were able to go forward and lead lives that would connect with and help other people around them.

Whatever it is in our lives that can seem disjointed, we can bring it to God in prayer, in Jesus’ name and he can meet us exactly as he did when the Saviour walked amongst people like us.
