MEMBERS of Cycle Evesham Vale are invited keen cyclists to saddle up for a social ride to celebrate the arrival of the OVO Energy Women’s Tour riders to the town.
The group will meet in Market Place at 10am on Saturday before a police escort out to Chadbury Farm Shop where they will cheer the tour riders as they head off on stage four of their race.
Their route will take them out to Broadway, through Bidford and then on to Worcester as the 166 riders in 17 teams complete 81 miles including several sprint and hill climb sections.
After cheering them on at Chadbury Farm, the social ride will cycle up to Salford Priors fishing lakes for coffee and bacon sandwiches/cake.
A leisurely ride up to Dunnington follows to once again cheer the tour cyclists on before heading back to Evesham for around 1pm on a shorter ride than normal without any hills and everyone is welcome.
