CARING staff and residents at Richmond Villages Wood Norton brewed up a storm to raise £1,814 for Alzheimer’s Research UK.
The event saw 50 people including residents, staff and citizens from the local community enjoyed delicious doughnuts, cookies and refreshments.
Guests were also able to enter the village’s tombola with a chance of winning an assortment of gifts generously donated by volunteers of Alzheimer’s Research UK and the local community.
Anne Allbright, committee member of the Evesham and Pershore District fund-raising group for Alzheimer’s Research UK, said: “Dementia can be an emotional story for any family, but, with the help of Alzheimer’s Research UK, the nation’s largest dementia research charity dedicated to making life-changing breakthroughs in diagnosis, prevention, treatment and care, this is being changed.
“The pandemic has affected every charities’ fund-raising, no more so than Alzheimer’s Research UK, which is why our local group are so grateful to Richmond Villages Wood Norton for inviting us to hold this coffee morning.”
