EVESHAM’s Regal Cinema is celebrating after welcoming the third highest number of people through their doors of all independent cinemas in the UK.
The Port Street received a pat on the back from distributors Twentieth Century Fox for having had the success with Kenneth Branagh’s adaptation of Murder on The Orient Express

Laurence Wiper from The Regal said; “As a single screen independent cinema it is a great honour to have been recognised by one of the biggest film distributors in the world for our admissions for Murder on the Orient Express.
“This is a great achievement for the town! Thank you to everyone who came along and made this happen.”
Murder on the Orient Express was screened on the first day of national release at The Regal and has made it into the top twenty films in Regal history based on the number of admissions.
The film features an all-star cast including Judi Dench, Kenneth Branagh, Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer, Penelope Cruz, Daisy Ridley and Willem Dafoe.
A number of screenings will be taking place throughout December and into the New Year, including a special New Year’s Eve screening where guests are invited to join staff in wearing their best period frocks and finest Poirot moustaches
