PERSHORE fell silent to mark the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks.
Both Pershore Commemorative Garden and Pershore Abbey paused to remember the scenes on September 11, 2001.
Prayers are being offered this weekend at the Abbey for all those whose lives have been shattered by both terrorism and  subsequent conflicts, in the renewed hope of world peace.
Bob Peart who works tirelessly for veteran charities raising thousands of pounds locally for them and Trudy Burge, daughter of the late Ted Annis who created the Garden, laid poppy wreaths at the Commemorative stone in the Abbey Park.
The Commemorative Garden was opened in 2011 to honour all those who have served their country and provide a place for people to sit in quiet reflection.
