A MAN has been arrested for poaching near Hinton on the Green after police got a call from a concerned landowner.
On the evening of Wednesday, December 4, police heard of concerns from a resident that a male in possession of a weapon was on their land near the Childswickham area and carrying out illegal poaching.
Officers from team A Evesham quickly attended the area along with the landowner and the male was located with an air rifle and pheasants that he had already shot.
He was subsequently arrested for poaching offences and is now on police bail while further enquiries are made.
The force urges anyone who witnesses such offences to continue to report it via 999 if in progress or 101 if reporting after the event.
