The Dublin Legends – formerly of the world-famous Irish folk band The Dubliners – are to make their first ever appearance in Evesham this year when they bring their St Patrick’s Celebration tour to the Henrician Theatre.
They are set to entertain music lovers by playing old favourites known the world over such as Dirty Old Town, Molly Malone, Seven Drunken Nights and many more when they stop for one night on Friday, March 21 at 8pm.
Following the sudden death of The Dubliners founding member Barney McKenna in 2012, it was agreed that the band would come to an end but The Dublin Legends were born.
The line-up features the vocal and musical talents of Sean Cannon, Paul Watchorn, Gerry O’Connor and Shay Kavanagh. Between them the four musicians have over 50 years of performing experience with The Dubliners with Sean Cannon being the lead singer since 1984.
During the past five years the band have continued the legacy of the band by travelling extensively throughout Europe playing concerts to a whole new generation of Irish music fans.
Tickets cost £27 are available online at henrician.org or by ringing the box office on 01386 425990.
