Joy after stolen trees returned to elderly Evesham couple

Evesham Editorial 19th Aug, 2020   0

ELDERLY Evesham homeowners have been reunited with their beloved trees which were stolen from outside their Cheltenham Road home.

The couple made the heart-breaking discovery yesterday morning (Tuesday) and alerted kind-hearted neighbour Jason Walton who took to Facebook to appeal for their return.

Less than 12 hours after he flooded social media with appeals for help he was contacted by a horrified family who had brought the trees unaware they had been stolen earlier in the day.

The trees were collected and brought back to their rightful home, much to the delight of the couple and Jason who praised all those involved in the appeal

“Mission accomplished! Well done to the people of Evesham, thank you so much for sharing,” he said.

“You have made one lovely couple so very happy. I am so proud to live in such a great community, there may be bad people but the good out weigh.

“They love their garden and were left absolutely devastated by the theft.”
