In the pink for charity at superstore

SHOPPERS are being invited to be in the pink this weekend and help a town supermarket raise cash for Cancer Research UK.

Tesco is turning pink on Saturday and Sunday to raise awareness for CRUK, Race for Life and the Evesham Relay for Life and invite shoppers to wear something pink to celebrate.

Caring volunteers from Relay for Life will be collecting at the front of the store and hoping to persuade local residents to join their campaign ahead of the event on September 1.

Volunteer event chair Paul Baylis said: “Relay for Life are looking forward to dressing up in pink to help support Evesham Tesco, Race for Life and CRUK. Relay for Life is not just open to women but all your family can get involved, pop along to Tesco to find out more.”

Lindsay Roach Community Champion at Evesham Tesco said: “We have been happy to support Race for Life for 17 years as a nationwide company. CRUK is such a worthy cause and cancer unfortunately touches so many of our lives.”
