FREE parking will be on offer in Wychavon’s car parks to support Christmas Lights switch on events across the district.
The lights will be going on in Evesham and Pershore next Saturday (November 27) with free parking on the day in all pay and display car parks from 2pm.
In Evesham the fun starts at midday in Market Place with children’s fairground rides, stalls, food, drink and Santa’s grotto for those early present requests. There will also be a Santa and Reindeer parade at 3pm with the lights going on at 5.30pm followed by a fireworks display.
Visitors to Pershore should head to St Andrews Gardens to meet Santa and his reindeer as well as enjoy carols by Pershore Town Choir and Pershore Operatic and Dramatic Society.

Coun Richard Morris, executive board member for Economic Growth and Tourism, said: “It’s wonderful to see the traditional Christmas light switch on events return after having to suspend them last year because of the pandemic.
“There’s something for everyone to enjoy and I’d encourage people to come and join in the fun, soak up the atmosphere and take advantage of our free parking offer.”
To help visitors to Broadway with their Christmas shopping, parking in all Wychavon’s pay and display car parks will be free from 2pm on Saturday, December 11.
