COLOURFUL and inspiring banners which were on show for the Battle of Evesham Festival have been officially handed back to the children who designed them.
The handover took place outside the Almonry Museum on Saturday (October 3), where Clive Bostle, trustee of the Simon de Montfort Society and Tony Rowland, chairman of VECTA (Vale of Evesham Commerce and Tourism Association) handed 60 flags back to the youngsters who created them.
Schools around the Vale invited children to design the flags for the festival back in August, where a judging panel consisting of members from the Simon de Montfort Society and VECTA chose the winners to be displayed throughout the town.
During the handover Christena Joseph, Jack Middleditch, Flavia Cimilluca, Alex O’Grady and Christopher Hitchman collected their bold and colourful designs to keep and admire.
