FIREFIGHTERS were called to rescue two calves from the River Avon in Norton, only for them to get out of the river as a crew arrived.
Town firefighters were called to the scene on Evesham Road at 11.42am yesterday (Tuesday) after reports the pair were stuck in the river.
However the calves rescued themselves and wandered back into the farmers field.
