GRATEFUL staff at a Pershore restaurant hit by fire less than a week before Christmas have revealed it will closed for 18 months.

However Benvenuti Belle House has revealed it will be opening a restaurant in Droitwich in the meantime with the regular members of the team.

The Bridge Street venue suffered significant damage in the December 19 blaze, forcing it to close over Christmas and New Year.

And while it will be 18 months before it graces the streets of Pershore again, plans are afoot for the new venture ‘Benvenuti Droitwich’.

In a statement on social media, the team paid tribute to their ‘lovely customers’.

It read:

“A big thank you to everyone who been so supportive during a really sad and difficult time.

“In regards to the restaurant, the building insurance have advised us that it will take 18 months to repair in order to get back to the original standards.

“We honestly can’t wait to be able to serve our customers once again in the near future.

“However, we would also like to share some exciting news with you all.

“We will be opening another restaurant in Droitwich Spa and our lovely team – Mario, Lorenzo, Luca, Katerina, Ema and Boris will all be working at Benvenuti Droitwich.

“The opening date will be revealed soon and the menu at Benvenuti Droitwich will be similar to Benvenuti Pershore.

“We would appreciate all your support and we can’t wait to see you all.
