YOUNGSTERS at Evesham College spent a day learning Call Push Rescue (CPR) as part of a lifesaving campaign.
Students at the Davies Road school recently took part in the training after Nicola Jones, a public services lecturer, applied to the British Heart Foundation for a CPR kit to deliver in tutorials and to those completing the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
Ms Jones said: “Students were absolutely fascinated and really enjoyed learning about CPR, the recovery position and general first aid. The CPR kit was fully comprehensive with informative and engaging DVDs to guide students through the process.”
The school is holding a ‘Go red for the British Heart Foundation’ day on Wednesday, June 7, where staff and students are encouraged to wear the colour red and participate in fund-raising activities for the charity.
