SEEKING out quiet places – two people with designs on a good day.

Sara Chandler and Geoff Hodgson are sketching in All Saints’ Church grounds and Abbey Park, Evesham.

Both are members of Evesham u3a ‘Urban Sketchers’ group which meets every fortnight to capture scenes in and around the town.

Also pictured is the latest group with Geoff and Sara (third and fourth left) and leading Evesham artist Mike Bagshaw (second right), the group leader.

Evesham u3a is for people who consider themselves retired to inspired – no longer in full time work with a wish to develop their current interests and find new ones.

There are more than 80 interest groups ranging from Art to Yoga. They include bird watching, crafting, dancing, games, languages, lunching, music, outings, photography, sports, walking – anything and everything.

“It’s local, social, friendly, low cost and open to all”, said one member.

This year sees Evesham u3a’s 20th anniversary. It has about 1,000 members with opportunities for more who are willing to join.
