THE COUNTDOWN to Halloween was marked with a week of pumpkin carving at Working World in Evesham.
Users at the Wallace House venue showcased their creative sides at the much-loved training centre for adults with a learning disability.
Pumpkin vases for flowers were among the items created during the week as staff revived an idea which grew during the coronavirus restrictions in 2020.
Despite the restrictions, Working World were able to offer a reduced service during the pandemic and one of the ideas dreamt up by staff for the reduced number of clients was to make the vases.
After the success it was decided to do it again this year, much to the joy of all of the centre’s users.
Flowers were donated by Tesco on Worcester Road and the store’s Community Champion Lindsay Roach visited Wallace House to lend a hand with the activity.
Pumpkins were supplied by Lidl and Morrisons also donated flowers to help.
