Dogs Trust ask for support to boost fun day

Evesham Editorial 3rd Jun, 2018   0

VALE businesses and local residents have been invited to lend a paw at Dogs Trust Evesham’s annual fun day.

Taking place at Ragley Hall on Sunday, June 24 from 11am to 4pm – this fun-filled day is great for the whole family and the rehoming centre is pulling out all the stops to make the event bigger and better than ever.

The charity has a number of stall positions available and is appealing to local businesses to get in touch to secure a spot at the event.

The team would also be extremely grateful for any donations of prizes for the raffle and tombola.

Shauna Stedman, supporter relations officer at Dogs Trust Evesham said: “Our fun day is a fantastic opportunity to meet local dog lovers and raise pounds for the homeless hounds in our care. There are all sorts of fun activities planned throughout the day so please come along and support Dogs Trust Evesham, we can promise you a really fun day out for all the family!

“The raffles, games and stalls play a huge role in the day, and we still have a number of spaces left for stallholders at the event. Previously, there has been array of stalls selling anything from homemade doggy treats, to local food and drink suppliers and trinkets for the home. But spots are limited so we are encouraging people to get in touch as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

“We’re expecting thousands of visitors on the day, so it’s a great opportunity to be amongst lots of people and join in the fun with two and four-legged friends!”

Highlights of the day include a have-a-go agility, a grand raffle, giant tombola and games for all the family including those of the four-legged variety who may even be able to win their very own rosette in the fun dog show! There will also be a variety of Dogs Trust merchandise available to buy on the day and delicious refreshments to enjoy.

The entrance fee is £5 and children under five and dogs are free.

Donations for the raffle can be taken in to the Evesham rehoming centre at 89 Pitchers Hill, Wickhamford, Evesham, WR11 7RT.
