Delays as resurfacing work closes Evesham's High Street

DRIVERS are facing delays today as the High Street has been closed due to resurfacing works.

The road is shut between Swan Lane and Leicester Grove and diversion routes have been put in place.

The roadworks are only taking place today and the road will be open as normal tomorrow (Monday).

Bus services have also been affected including Stagecoach’s Route 18. Bus stops at Evesham Bus Station, Vine Street and the railway station will not be served all day.

Passengers are advised a temporary stop will be provided by Worcestershire County Council outside Co-op. And passengers towards Pershore are advised to board at Waterside and Pershore Road.

Here is the diversion route that has been put in place: 

1. Head north on High St/A4184 towards Albert Road and continue to follow A4184
2. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto A44
3. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto A46
4. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit and stay on A46
5. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit and stay on A46
6. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit and stay on A46
7. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Cheltenham Road/A4184 Continue to follow A4184
8. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Vine St/A4184Continue to follow A4184
