A CARING Pershore youngster had a close shave to raise cash to support children with cancer.
Daisy Hunt, a pupil at Holy Redeemer School, took a trip to a local hairdressers after being sponsored to have her flowing locks cut.
The kind-hearted youngster raised just less than £230 after learning children her age could lose their hair following cancer treatment.
Proud mum Helen told the Observer: “Daisy’s hair has always been commented on for it’s many different colours and length, so she thought that by donating her hair to this charity, poorly children would benefit and feel better about themselves.”
