Church teams thanks hospital workers

CARING church goers across Pershore and Bredon Hill have paid tribute to the NHS heroes on the Covid front-line.

Concerned by the heavy workload and long hours of hospital staff, members of Pershore Benefice and Bredon Hill Group Churches are saying thank you with attractive gift bags for NHS teams in Worcestershire.

Church members and other friends have donated small items to fill the bags, including toiletries, hand cream, lip balm, chocolates, biscuits and small jars of jam.

Packages are designed for both male and female staff.  More than 100 treat bags have been delivered to Worcestershire Royal Hospital and more are coming together for Pershore Community Hospital

“We have made up lots of pretty paper bags, each filled with small treats,” said organiser Sara Speed.

“We know how exhausting and stressful it is, working long hours with very ill patients, so a surprise treat to take home may add some cheer.

“There’s a real need here and donations have poured in – thank you, everyone who has helped.”
