Canine Christmas Fair raised cash for cause

Evesham Editorial 6th Dec, 2019   0

STAFF at Dogs Trust and their canine companions are celebrating after their Christmas Fair raised more than £2,600 for rescue hounds.

Highlights of the last Saturday’s (November 30) event included festive games, Santa Paws, a raffle and a tombola as well as Christmas refreshments. There were gift stalls and fun activities for two and four-legged friends alike.

A total of £2,692.42 was raised for rescue dogs at the Wickhamford-based rehoming centre.

Shauna Stedman, supporter relations officer at Dogs Trust Evesham, said: “We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who came along to support us. Every day we are looking after around 80 dogs and every penny will help make sure they have everything they need over Christmas, and for however long they are with us.

“Without the support of the dog loving public we wouldn’t be able to care for our dogs in the way we do, thank you and we wish everyone, and their four-legged friends, a happy Christmas and a happy and healthy 2020.”
