Can you offer quirky lurcher Ozzie a new home?

A QUIRKY looking dog with eyes of different colours at Evesham’s Dog Trust is looking for his fur-ever home, writes Cameron Mowat.

Ozzie, the sweet-natured lurcher, is often overlooked by potential new owners because of the trait, despite him having an affectionate and loving personality.

Ozzie also arrived with a limp and a problem with his back leg, which the team at Dogs Trust decided needed surgery to increase comfort.

His medical problem with his back leg means he needs limited exercise for the rest of his life and staff believe this may also count against him to potential owners, as many lurcher lovers enjoy taking them for walks.

Tracey Spiers, rehoming centre sssistant manager at the charity, said “Ozzie is a gorgeous boy with a huge heart and a personality to match, so we can’t imagine why anyone wouldn’t want him as part of their family.

“He is a sensitive soul and a little shy at first, but he soon comes round with a gentle approach and loves to be around people, especially if they are giving him a gentle fuss.”

Ozzie would benefit from an adult-only home, with no other dogs, although he would be happy with some calm walking buddies.
