A BODY found in the river near Pershore has been identified as missing man Thomas Surber, West Mercia Police have confirmed.
Thomas, 71, went missing from his home in Bricklehampton, near Pershore on February 27.
Det Insp Ed Slough said: “We are sad to report that Thomas was found on Sunday (May 17) and has now been formally identified.
“His wife has been informed and specially trained officers are supporting her at this tragic time.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank the public who shared our appeals and helped in our search for Thomas,” he said.
His death is not being treated as suspicious.
