Appeal after man dies in A44 crash

AN APPEAL for information has been launched after a fatal two vehicle crash in Pinvin which left a man in his 20s dead and three others needing hospital treatment.

The incident took place at about 9.50pm last night (Sunday) when a blue Mercedes Sprinter minibus with three people on board travelling west on the A44 about half a mile west of the Pinvin crossroads collided with an articulated lorry in the opposite direction.

The driver of the minibus, a man in his 30s, is in hospital with serious injuries and has been arrested for causing death by dangerous driving of a passenger in the minibus.

The male driver of the lorry and the second passenger in the minibus were taken to the Worcestershire Royal for lesser injuries and have since been released.




An investigation is underway to establish the exact circumstances of the collision.
